The design team reimagined the journey, and my job was to build it real on Shopify, keep it accessible, and not let the platform flatten it back into a grid.

▸V1.8 had the right idea with AI transcription, but everything after the recording stopped was manual. There was no review step, and the requirements ended up scattered across four document silos.
▸Free accessibility scanners miss what actually fails in production, and paid tools start at $500 a month while still burying the fix 14 clicks deep. Then WCAG 2.2 landed and most tools hadn't caught up.

▸The original product leaned on corporate patterns, muted colors, and adult information density, so teens were quietly checking out. It had been built for the parent paying rather than the kid actually using it.

▸A premium roaster stuck on a generic Shopify theme. The product pages showed a photo and a price with no story, and nothing about the store gave a first-time visitor a reason to come back.
▸A custom shop with 20 years of equity was launching a new flagship product. The instinct was to retire the old name and lead with the new one, but the survey said the loyalists' trust in Conquest Customs was the most valuable asset the business had.
